This is my 70mai Dash Cam Pro Review – 70mai new dashcam was on Indiegogo and raised $398,667, more than the original goal $10,000. 70mai Pro is an upgraded version for the 70mai and you can tell right away, they did a very good job and listened to their customers.

The first generation, the 70mai dashcam was successful, being sold into 92 countries at the quantity of 100k units per month. And after listening to the users’ feedback, 70mai is back with the successor, the 70mai Dash Cam Pro.
The 70mai Dash Cam Pro records continuously to a microSD card, in which the footage can later be viewed. When the microSD card is full, new clips will be rotated, so you’ll always get the latest footage and no need for manual formatting.
One useful future is the collision detecting future If a collision is detected, 70mai will store the incident recordings separately inside the card – or when you press a button on the unit to manually trigger the recording.
I really like the design as it is quite small and sits very well on your windshield and you can hide it if you don’t like looking at the dashcam.
Thanks to the LCD screen, you can view the current live recording. The 70mai dashcam setting is very easy and clear and you can start on the get-go without complicated options.
Its a plus for drivers that want a simple dashcam without any complicated software and many options.
If we compare to the other dashcams in the market, 70mai Dash Cam Pro does not come with built-in features like the Advanced Driver Assistant System (which includes Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning) unless if you buy the GPS add-on mod.
I have received the English version so I had no issues or troubles figuring how to use it. The installation was very simple and there’s a lot of video guides online on how to do it correctly.
The 70mai Dash Cam Pro uses a SONY IMX335 sensor and 140-degree wide-angle lens of F/1.8, the quality is quite good. It supports 1080p, you can change the video resolution under Settings to record clips in 2592 x 1944 resolution (1944p, H.265).
In daylight, 70mai Dash Cam Pro takes good quality recordings but things are just not that sharp at night but you can still see what’s going on.

My Opinion
70mai Dash Cam Pro is an affordable dash cam ( around 55$ without the GPS module, 65$ with the GPS module) that can record with a resolution up to 1944p. It was built to sit well on your windshield and made of high-quality plastic pleasant to touch. The video quality is very good at daylight but suffers a bit on roads with bad lighting at night.
The additional features like ADAS will require you to buy the GPS module but in my own experience you don’t really need those futures as they didn’t really work all the time(tested the 70mai Dash Cam Pro in the winter, this might be the reason)
