Design & Features
Rexing V1 pro is a front and rear dash camera that records Full HD 1080p video (1920×1080) at a frame rate of 30 frames per second, its the max resolution available when running both of the cameras. If using only the front cam you are able to record on the next resolutions 2160p 24fps / 1440p 30fps / 1080p 60fps.
It uses a wide Dynamic Range technology that allows each camera to perform optimally in low-light situations by carefully fine-tuning the exposure. Both cameras have a 170-degree ultra-wide-angle lens that is more than enough to capture the events that happen in your surroundings.
The front camera uses a OV4689 is a high-performance 4-megapixel CameraChip and the rear camera uses Sony IMX323 sensor.
User’s that love LCD screens will be happy to know that the Rexing V1 has 2.4 inch, 4:3 LCD screen, that’s quite big for a dashcam screen. I do prefer cams without an LCD screen, but that’s just me.
The Rexing V1 Pro comes with an internal GPS Logger allows you to mark time, date, location, and speed information to all your recordings without the need for a separate accessory like in many dashcams.
Good to see that rexing V1 uses a Capacitor Power battery which uses a lithium-ion battery which features enhanced temperature resistance to hot and cold climates.
I think its much better than using a build-in the battery because after while those batteries won’t hold any charge and might fail on needed moments. Another useful built-in feature is Wi-Fi Connect, you are able to transfer dash cam recordings to your smartphone or tablet over Wi-Fi with the use of an app interface which supports both iOS and Android devices.
Like many other dashcams, the Rexing V1 pro has a loop Recording feature that will allow keeping recording without interruption by overwriting the oldest files when the card is out of storage.
This unit is really nice and well built. When you take it in your hand, you can’t but notice the smooth, curved lines. On the right side, we have the micro SD slot, USB power slot, and the reset button. On the left side, we have the rear camera slot and the GPS input.
The back of the dashcam features a 2.4 inch LCD screen and 5 buttons to control the setting and camera functionality
And last but not least, this unit can accept SD cards of up to 128 GB. Plenty of space to store your recordings and capture as many interesting moments as possible.
Setup
The installation process is like any other dashcam installation, you pick the best spot and paste it on the windshield using the 3M tape provided. I have decided to mount it under my current dashcam, Blackvue DR900S.
The rear camera installation is similar to other installations, using the app we level the dashcam and find the best spot( each car is different and but the principle is the same).
In order to hide the power cables for the rear camera, you will have to get it through the roof cover, that’s the case in my car.
Performance
The quality of the recording is quite good, of course, you cannot compare it to the Blackvue dashcam, but let’s not forget it costs 2X timeless. It’s extremely easy to set up & install comes with extra accessories, and is made from the quality materials.

My Opinion
The first time I saw the front camera I was quite surprised at how big it was, if I would do a size comparison to other cams I have tested, the Rexing V1 pro would be in the first place. But that’s, not a problem, if you install it under the rear mirror as you won’t, notice it much.
The video quality is quite good and you will be able to capture plate numbers at day. Night video is the weakness of many dashcams and the Rexing V1 pro has standard night filming capabilities. If you want a reliable and affordable 2 channel dashboard camera, then the Rexing V1 pro might be a good choice.
