After an experience that started off very disappointing and then moved me to anger when CS stopped responding to me for 15 days, the owner of the company personally called to express his understanding and sympathy for my situation with sincere apologies for the CS break down that could have been avoided. I deeply appreciate that! I’m not sure at his point what my future will be with this brand & product. I still have concerns with the functionality of the device (a possible fatal flaw in the code or how the code interacts with other devices/apps), but understand they are working on it. There are some customer service issues that need to be ironed out also, but because of the genuine passion the owner has for this product and the customers, I have high hopes that Scanmarker will overcome and be the better for it.

There seems to be a fatal flaw in the software that causes everything, all your scans all your notes in the app to be totally deleted. This happened to me on two occasions and it cost me over 25 hours of study time. When I contacted support, they said the would refund the $125 it cost, but weeks and weeks later, they never did. They won’t even respond to me through any of their support contact methods. I was so excited about this product, but the product and the company are one of the biggest consumer disappointments I have ever experienced. No integrity.

Well, you can try wear sunglasses while you do the scanning.
I didn’t have any issues with the scan marker light.
