Design and Features
Picking the right automatic feeders might sound hard when you see how many automatic feeders are out there. Today we are going to talk about SKYMEE automatic pet feeder, a very interesting feeder that is actually a pet camera and feeder in one device!
The feeder is made of high-quality plastic that didn’t have any smells and looks high quality.
It can hold up to 2 gallons (32 cups) of food! in my case I’m going to use it to feed my cats and it should last for a long time before a refill needed!
The top cap has a rubber sealing ring around so it will keep the food sealed and fresh. The upper cap has a 2 side locking system that requires you to pinch the sides of the latch together in order to lift the lid.
Thanks to the rotating blade feeding system we are able to customize portions to be released on a timed schedule. That’s means we can feed between 1/8 and 2 cups per serving with no limit on how many meals can be scheduled per day.
The SKYMEE Automatic Pet Feeder features a 1080p HD camera with night vision and a 130˚ wide-angle lens with 4x zoom. I was really happy with the picture quality and video. I was able to take photos and videos through the app to share on social media or send it to my friend’s family.
Another cool feature is the 2-way audio that allows you to hear what is going on in your home and/or send your pets( my cats) audio messages when you’re away.
A very important feature for an automated feeder is having a battery backup feature. The SKYMEE Automatic Pet Feeder does require 3 D-size batteries that will power the feeder in a case of a power shortage.
That’s to this feature your pets won’t miss any meal!
When the feeder will start running out of food the app will send notifications to your phone.
Let’s not forget about the magnetic food plate that we can easily remove and wash, it holds very well thanks to strong magnets.
My Opinion
I always wanted to get my cats an automatic feeder as I do like traveling and I don’t want my cats to miss any meals while I’m gone or late.
The SKYMEE Automatic Food Dispenser is a great helper and my cats love it.
I’m using it every day, I just love checking my cats while I’m away and also giving them extra food and while they enjoy the food I enjoy watching them eat. Couple of things I would change :
– The audio is very quiet as the speaker located very low.
– The feeding plate is perfect for one pet, but what if you own 2 cats ( like I do), I would recommend making an extra feeding plate so 2 cats could eat at the same time.
If you are looking for a great automatic feeder, I recommend the SKYMEE feeder because you get a great feeder at a decent price that will help you keep your pets( in my case, my cats) well-fed. And you won’t need to worry about leaving your cat/dog at home alone, they won’t be hungry and you can always take a look and see what they are actually doing.
